Awesome, but I didn't know ACE's EdDs require dissertations.

I withdrew from mine.  I really wanted to like it, but just couldn’t get past the videos.  I watched several times and just couldn’t connect with any of it.

They have a lot of programs and RA accrediation. It'd be nice to see some reviews from them. Their pricing is pretty competitive for cash payers.

Hello. It's been a very long time since I've posted anything here, but I wanted to say that I cannot speak highly enough of ACE. I completed a Masters in Education in Health and Wellness Education.

The classes follow the same format. They are five weeks with videos and readings. You only take one class at a time and you have a week or two off between each course. After the first course you can petition to take more than one at a time. Each week you completed a discussion board, a small paper (or project), and a quiz. The final week you complete a discussion board, an exam, and a reflection paper with prompts provided.

I chose the program because of the length and at the time it was the closet thing to a Masters in Public Health for cost and time. While it is not the same thing, I was able to test and become a Certified Health Education Specialist.

I am currently finishing a certificate in content area instruction in cognitive sciences. It follows the same format. All these classes are psych coded so I believe I will I will qualify to teach psych courses. With going back I got a 10% alumni discount so I think each course is about $750.

I am happy to answer any questions about my experience.

I did not watch the videos. I found they kind of dry, although I appreciated them. I actually just read the transcript instead of watching them.

No, I registered as a student at large.  I’m in an MBA program elsewhere and ACE has a few courses that would transfer for a little lower cost.  I might try a different course at another time, but not sure yet.

Were the videos like that for all the classes?  I prefer having a mix of videos, books, audio. For me, it’s hard to have to read everything.  And with my class, they wanted a 4 page paper on the first week!  Not sure if that is typical. But it’s not for me.  Blech.  It does make me so much more appreciative of my program at JWMI. So far everything is pretty immersive.  And I like the slower pace (10 weeks).

All that said, I still think ACE is a fantastic option and would still recommend it to anyone who likes the faster pace and finds reading/writing more to be easier.

I cannot speak to all the classes, but I've taken 16 classes and all of them have offered transcripts with the videos. At the end of each module there is a review video and that offers a transcript too. Each class I had was wild because it was like by the third week when I felt confident I knew what I was doing then the class was almost over. It is a good option for those who want something fast pace, but still has due dates. I know there are self-pace options but knowing myself, I would drag those on forever so they would not work for me.

Are the programs accredited?

They're RA, (not NA)... Not sure what type of accreditation you're looking for... I think it would be easier to review post #1 as it already mentioned they're RA, if that's not enough for you, I would also review this link to understand their accreditation for their education and nursing programs: https://ace.edu/about/accreditation/
