I took the Analyzing and Interpreting Literature examination on 31 May 2013 and passed with a 63 out of 80. I was very worried before I took this test because there is not a real way to study, except to look over literary terms and take practice tests. Here is what I did:
1) Utilized the literary terms provided in previous threads: Analyzing and Interpreting Literature CLEP Study Guide - Free-Clep-Prep.com
2) Took all three practice tests on the downloadable Peterson's Test Prep: DoD MWR LELLRC Tutorials (only free to military)
3) I originally was going to take the Ethics in America test today, but I felt ill prepared two nights prior and shifted gears. Total numbers of hours preparing for Analyzing and Interpreting Literature examination was approximately 3 hours.
I finished the test with approximately 20 minutes left.. then I went back through each question and browsed over them ( I ended up changing three).. my recommendation is to keep your hand off the mouse until you are sure of the answer that you want to click.. this might help you in the anxious feeling of answering 85 questions in 98 minutes. I read each question first, then I read the section.. then if there was doubt of the immediate answer I would use the process of elimination. This would leave me with two answers that sounded pretty good, then I would read the section again.
It was not an easy test to take, but I think that it is an easy test to study for. Plus it is a great way to earn 6 credits.
Hope this helps.
