Any "one year masters" programs?
#1
There used to be quite a few of these, but now it seems the only one I can find is the Capella Flexpath.

Anybody know of any more? I looked on the other forum, but all I could find was people asking the question, and then being called lazy by the seasoned members :toetap:

A lot of the people on the other forum are not very helpful. They prefer discussing things like accreditation issues and school closures. When they do try to help on topics like the Big 3, their information is several years out of date. However, I do recall seeing some one year masters programs mentioned on that forum. Many schools expect that an online MBA will take 18 months to 3 years, but people can finish faster. My master's was supposed to take 18-months to 2 years, but I finished in 14 months by taking two courses every 8 weeks. Another classmate finished in 12 months by taking 3 courses for a couple of sessions.

These are some schools that advertise a one year, online MBA.
Online One-Year MBA | UMUC
One Year Online MBA Program | Distance MBA Program | Saint Mary University
http://www.clarkson.edu/business/graduat...-09-sm.pdf
One Year MBA | University of Hartford
One Year MBA | Accelerated MBA Online | Benedictine University
Harding University MBA - Christian, Accredited, Online, 1 Year

By the way, several members on the other forum have called this forum boring. This forum is mostly about helping individuals. They like to create 10-20 page threads about unaccredited schools that hardly anyone knows about. I find that to be extremely boring. They are just now talking about SNHU's College for America like it's some new discovery. I thought someone opened the first thread on it on this forum almost a year ago.

Cleveland State University's Mobile Accelerated MBA is the first AACSB-accredited online one-year MBA. Tuition for the program is currently $37 500, billed each semester with payment plans available; this includes "All books and course materials" and an iPad.

This forum is a bit slower then the other forum, but on the other they have a lot of inside jokes and are very rude to new members and not helpful in the least. Especially one moderator, who shall remain nameless, is a real ass.

Many of the members of that forum have well over 5k posts. That means there are a LOT of posts in that forum, and therefore there's a lot of information to have to search through in order to find something. But they get real annoyed when a new member doesn't rtff rather than ask the question in a new thread. That drives me nuts.

This forum is not really about discovering new degree programs even though we discovered most of the new competency-based programs long before they did. On the Big 3, they are still recommending bain4weeks.com which has been out of date since 2008.

Yeah bain4weeks.com was a great resource in its time. I first read it in 07. But it hasn't been updated in years. 123collegedegree.com was also a good resource, but it hasn't been updated since 2005.

I knew of all these valuable resources, and it still took me 10 years to finally graduate....sheesh....I'm slow
