Hi,
This was my first clep and I failed it...I knew the 300 Peterson questions inside and out and the Clep study guide. My entire test was analyizing poems...I'm stunned with everything I knew not 1 question came up about any books such as...Moby Dick, Great Gatsby...ect.
I'm bummed...I hoped one question of the 400 I knew would be recognizeable...

That sounds like Analyzing and Interpreting Literature to me. Did the proctor get you signed up for the wrong test maybe??
Sorry that happened to you your first go around

good luck on your next test.

I have to second this opinion. AMerican and ANalyzing are one right after the other and it sounds like the incorrect one was chosen. It being your first test I can imagine how nervous you were. At some point there is a screen with only the test name and I have learned to check to make sure it is the correct test. The only reason I have learned this is because other people have had their proctor choose the wrong test for them. Sounds like the case here. Check your sheet that the proctor gave you with your scores. Let us know if this is what happened. If it is the case, the good news is you can go back and take the American Lit test. Good luck, I hope this is the case.
