Are StraighterLine final exams made of questions asked in the previous exams?
#1
I took a StraighterLine midterm exam today (Intro Philosophy), and I noticed all the questions were also asked in the 2 previous graded exams.  Will all the questions in the final exam be from previous graded exams as well?  Is this the norm for all StraighterLine classes?  Thanks.

Don't bet on it. I haven't taken Philosophy. Out of the 4 courses I took though, maybe there's only a about 1-2% where on the test from the quizzes and midterm.

Were the midterms of the classes you took made of questions you had already seen?

Midterm always has overlap from the initial exams leading up to it. This would be a traditional exam recap of what you have learned to that point. The final will recap the whole course with some of the questions appearing again. Even though there is some overlap, knowing all of the answers from the exams won't guarantee a successful score on final. There are plenty of new questions that require significant knowledge of the material and not just the skill of memorization.

Enjoy the overlap and good luck with securing the new knowledge to come.

Agreed. There is likely to be some overlap, but a lot of new questions, too. They're pretty predictive of the TYPES of questions you can expect to see, though. (Unless you're taking an Acrobatiq class. Then all bets are off.)

yes. most of it are from the quizzes/exams I've taken prior midterm. The finals though, way off. most of it are new questions.
