Area of Study Course Appeal

Thanks for the help and encouragement,the  appeal was approved for 8 units upper level courses

That's great, for some reason I knew you would get the appeal and the 8 credits, didn't think it would come in as UL though, that's an awesome score...

I'm really really curious though, how did you word your appeal and did you have to escalate it to the dean or higher?

Advisor gave me an email to send it to. I got an email back from the Assistant Dean granting the request for upper level credits but it has not yet been implemented so am asking about that now. 

The classes are different because one set was Russian as a Foreign Language in the US and the other was Russian as a Second language in the former Soviet Union with the foreign language studies as a prerequisite. The syllabus stated that Intermediate or Advanced Russian was prerequisite for Intermediate Russian as Second language.

Ah, so you're still in the process to get this as upper level and it's going up to the dean... Good work, keep putting input into it and see if the outcome is favorable. You may need to stress the same things I mentioned earlier to process this better..

Got it all straightened out today and my credits updated - so yes the process worked but did take some follow through since the update was not automatic.

That's great, there goes some UL requirements, good job, on to the remaining credits if any...
