Hi - No, I am not, however, I read your post regarding this question in another forum. May I ask why you are considering pursuing an Associates, rather than a second Bachelor's from Excelsior? I believe that the Psychology and Business programs are offered through two separate schools via Excelsior. Thus, you could just rack up another 30 credits and have a BA or BS in Business. OR, you could just pursue an MBA (or MS in Management). I would think this through a bit more and weigh your options, as you appear to have many.
Good luck!
- Tom

Hello Tom -
Thanks for your reply!
Right now I'm exploring options and looking towards the horizon of a possible new path. If I opt to travel down this path an A.S. would be the first logical step of discovery thus I'm simply exploring options and opportunities.
Yes, another B.S. or even an M.S. may lie in the distant horizon but for right now I'm just looking at my first step and deciding if I should take it. Thanks!

Well, if business is your next step, what about an MBA? Since you already have a masters, you clearly have what it takes to get through the 100 and 200 stuff. Chances are (in my opinion) that there isn't much your going to "learn" on the associate business track; really all intro courses. Even if you have to take a few pre-reqs for the business degree, an MBA will turn more heads on a resume than an associates. Just my two cents.

Cook's got a point. All you'd have to do are "leveling" courses ahead of the program, then you could dive in. For example, Cal State Dominguez Hills lists in their MBA program pages which courses are expected at time of entry if you don't have them. I think there are only a half dozen or so.
There may be too many MBAs in the market, supposedly, but they can still make decent money.

You could go rob a bank.. Or why not do something even more dangerous like start your own DETC school and rake in the big bucks??
Have you ever heard of 'Nylon Polymer' Napoleon?
It's worth a thought...

LOL hilarious
Well, really I know my associate degree isn't in business, but in my field it is still "the" degree chefs have- so I spent A LOT of years (16) with only an associate degree. It certainly did the job for me, and got me where I needed to be. Outside of a trade, I just can't see the associate degree having much return on investment. I say that because it is part of the business ladder- in culinary, an associate is the TOP of the ladder, not the bottom- but that isn't true in business. Since there are SO many steps beyond the associates in business, I would really consider aiming higher. Look at it this way, you can spend $ on an business associates now, and then $$ on the bachelor of business later. $ + $$ = $$$ (the same cost as the $$$ MBA) but you still won't be at the top.... just a thought. The MBA, you'll be starting at the top. I feel that the associates is where people sit who have limited academic ability, limited resources, or are very young with no experience. BUT why not ask some HR folks? Tell them what you have told us- ask them how they would view each of the several options you have open to you- get some feedback from the ones who hire. That's what I suggest, and in the end you really have nothing to loose either way!!
