Started on January 17, was unsure of the pace at strut , started with BLS with MIS minor. Then added 2 more minors, business administration because I took most of the required courses through Sophia already, and political science because of Dr Zaborney ( the fastest & easiest grader out there ). Altogether, took 16 courses in 38 days, put all day into studies, had no work or other responsibilities. Wanted to change to BABA few days ago, but didn't, bus 220 and 325 will be too much for me at this moment.
Before starting, completed 3 MIS courses (bus 245 through Google Data Analytics & 345 IBM Data Visualization certificates, 141 through Sophia). I transferred a lot of courses after January 17, asked Jessica before transferring, she always said I could transfer. That resulted in 114 credits transferred, most from Sophia.
3 certificates I completed -
Google Data Analytics - came in 12 credits as bus 245 (it was a lot of work, but the UMPI alternative is, according to many, not easy either)
IBM Data Visualization - 9 credits total, 3 for bus 345, 3 business UL, and 3 business LL.
IBM Full Stack Software certificate- 9 credits of GEL( i guess it's general education ) UL ( I took it mainly for its UL credits ), 9 credits of GEL LL.
At UMPI, Eng 101 seemed the hardest course, it was my first course, and taken by professor Matthews, who is both quite helpful and demanding. Got 18 out of 20 in rubrics, so 90%, A-, as I am not a native English speaker, it's not bad. Another course is business law 2, that was my hardest course at UMPI, I don't know why i took that, it was an exam, with 99 questions, exhausting, I got 93 correct, so 93%, another A-.
Eng 121, by Ayala, was easier than 101, got full marks in rubrics.
American Government was by Dr Zaborney, so superfast & mandatory full marks , same for hum 103, though it was more work than AmGovt. I took 7 more courses with Dr Zaborney, all went smoothly and easily.
Bus 200 and 244 were medium difficulty, but doable.
One important point for courses with final exams is to take the quiz questions seriously, as the final is pretty much a repeat of those questions. And the adaptive questions, though those were irritating when I had no idea of the content, gave more questions to practice, which helped in the final exam.
This website is an amazing resource for UMPI, you can get most of the information you need by digging through past posts and threads.
As I am an international student, the next thing for me is to get the diploma and the transcript sent to my address, with verification seals & stamps from UMPI & the Maine state government. Let's see how that goes in future.
But for now, I will relaxx !!!
