You’re equally as close to either given the one ACC course taken. I would say an accounting degree has more of a future than a general business degree.

Yes, there's no difference in how close you are to the General Business degree vs. accounting (the financial accounting course you took is part of the business core at any school).
Whether you get a general business vs accounting has more to do with what you plan to do for a job in the future. An accounting degree is only good if you want to work in accounting, and then you're better off taking a CPA track or getting a MS in Accounting then just a BS in business/accounting. Most people who have a career in accounting who have degrees have a lot more than just the minimum required for an accounting degree.
