BSBA fastest & easiest COSC vs TESU
#1
Assuming cost was not an issue, and I’d be starting from the beginning, who has fastest and easiest path to BSBA?

Is the wiki updated with gen eds now that Aleks is out? If I got Aleks done before the cutoff, can it still be used?

Thanks!

COSC requires 30 UL and a 3 credit course for cornerstone, so TESU is probably still the easier and faster option.

It depends on what credits you already have, too. If you've got credits that fulfill the UL that COSC needs, or you've got credits that COSC takes and TESU doesn't, that can tilt the equation.
NanoDegree: Intro to Self-Driving Cars (2019)
Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)
TESU: BA in Comp Sci (2016)
TECEP:Env Ethics (2015); TESU PLA:Software Eng, Computer Arch, C++, Advanced C++, Data Struct (2015); TESU Courses:Capstone, Database Mngmnt Sys, Op Sys, Artificial Intel, Discrete Math, Intro to Portfolio Dev, Intro PLA (2014-16); DSST:Anthro, Pers Fin, Astronomy (2014); CLEP:Intro to Soc (2014); Saylor.org:Intro to Computers (2014); CC: 69 units (1980-88)

Starting from scratch, I would say that TESU was a bit easier, and probably a bit faster as well.

Easier because TESU only requires 12cr of UL in the AOS, so you only need 4 UL courses. You can fulfill all of your core and Gen Ed with as many easy LL courses as possible. COSC requires 30cr of UL, so you're going to need to take courses that may be more difficult options than TESU would require for things.

Faster because TESU only requires the Capstone (12 weeks), while COSC requires a cornerstone and capstone (not sure number of weeks for each, but unless you could take them both during the same term, which I'm not sure they allow, then you have to take them in order, and that will just take longer).

Also, COSC requires 2 science courses, with 1 having a lab, so that might slow down someone who wasn't good at science (guilty).

At COSC, Cornerstone is 8 weeks and most Capstones are 8 weeks (not 100% sure about the BSBA capstone). You need to complete Cornerstone before you can take Capstone, but one in the first half of the semester and one in the second half should work.

Yes, if you did it before the ACE approved time period expired.
