I was always under the impression that 8 credits meant 2 three credit courses and 2 corresponding one credit labs 

are you saying those 8 credits could be fulfilled with no labs at all ? 
for example: just the 6 credit Biology CLEP and the 3 credit DSST Astronomy ?

or by 3 UExcels ?

also I think its interesting that the 
BA in Computer Science
requires fewer credits for that requirement than the ASNSM does 
four to seven as opposed to eight

I am under the 18-19 plan and I have all of the TEEX courses (CYB) in my evaluation for the ASNSM CS as AOS courses. Everything was approved via TESU several months back. Has something changed?

In a recent change, the TEEX Cybersecurity courses are no longer being accepted for CS AOS. However, if they're already in your eval, you should be able to use them.

Nowhere on the website listing for that degree does it say that you have to take any specific science courses or corresponding labs.  And since the BACS does not require those, I'm going to guess that you can take whatever you want.  However, the OP should certainly see if there are specific requirements for that, that aren't listed on the website.

Ahhh, that stinks. If that's the case I agree someone should almost skip the ASNSM CS and go straight for BACS.
