Word's References tab, with its Manage Sources and Bibliography functions, has been surprisingly useful by itself in my experience. I've taught zero-to-hero project-based research courses to my student clients here in China, and they have appreciated the rapid access to in-text parenthetical citations. It also maintains your accumulated sources over time, all of which can be accessed across different files.

As for Grammarly's plagiarism detection, I experimented by running several 100% plagiarized essays through it as controls to put the Fear of Expulsion in their hearts and demonstrate how plagiarism is detected and dealt with in American colleges. I didn't have access to Turnitin at the time, and these test essays were wholesale copies of the first word all the way down to the last on several different websites. When all the Grammarly results returned remarkably low levels of plagiarism, I realized that particular tool was largely useless. Turnitin remains the most accurate tool for me.

Did you use a editor program other than ms word for the APA style? Can you DM me an example of one if your papers just to see the APA style?

For editors, I recommend MS Word (which has great templates and references tools that use APA style) or PERRLA (if you need more help with APA style than you get from Word).

FYI, it is unsafe for students to share papers they've submitted. If those papers are later plagiarised and the school discovers this, it could put their degrees in jeopardy.

I don't know what I was thinking when I asked to see an example of case studies, that was definitely wrong on my part. Lets not break any rules. I will just search the web for samples of APA style papers. I just want to write and share a crear message without worrying about styles (APA or MLA).
