Hi everyone!
I was wondering if the Ethics in America flash cards were sufficient enough to pass the Bioethics: Philosophical Issues exam? Does anyone have any idea? This exam does have a practice exam that goes along with it and the exam itself has been reduced to $95 for some time now. And it's worth 3 upper level credits. I've searched this forum for suggestions but the only thing I can find is questions very similar to the one that I'm asking.
ANY info would be greatly appreciated! If I must be the sacrificial lamb with this exam, considering the more expensive alternative, I will. I feel compelled to at least give it my best shot before resorting to the $$$ exam.
Thanks!!!!!!
PS. Please don't suffer from the bystander effect! LOL!!

OK!!!!!! I think I found something! I ordered a study guide with practice questions and answers from the RCE (Regents College Examination) in Bioethics. I compared it to the EC study guide outline and found it to be IDENTICAL, right down to the % of questions in each area. Even the titles of each area are verbatim. I purchased it off amazon.com and the guide has a copyright of 2011. So, I'm going to use this and let you guys know how it goes. Pray for me, wish me luck, light a candle, whatever!!!! Hope to take the exam within the next 2 weeks....

Regents College is the old name for Excelsior College. It's interesting that the copyright is 2011, because the name was changed years ago. Good luck ion your exam.

Yes, I know!!!!! That's why I googled it when I went to the amazon website. I continue to find it amazing that they keep changing the name of lots of things as a 'continuing effort to remain up to date in an ever changing world' but rarely change the content of the information. I was under the new Health Differences program with EC but I passed all of my exams by studying materials form the old Nursing Concepts series. Gotta love EC!
****But I do plan to cater my study of this info based on what I find in the 2013 EC content guide......

I PASSED!!!!!!!!! At the end of the exam, I went back to review my answers and changed a few of them. So, I don't know if that brought me down from a B or up from a D. But I passed with a C. This book was AMAZING! But all the theorists began to run together on the real exam...for me, anyway. Word of advise: take the EC practice exam for this one also. EVERY ONE of the scenarios that I had came directly off the practice exams....so much that I didn't even read them during the actual test because I had just review those scenarios an hour before I went into Pearson Vue. But a couple of the questions about the scenarios came from the rationales rather than the answer so be careful! Good luck
