Has anyone ever mapped how the Study.com placement tests are connected to interconnecting courses? I have noticed that the tests do impact other courses within similar fields. It also appears that if you complete a quiz, it might create a similar outcome.

It would be nice if someone mapped it.  We need a guinea pig.

It would be easier to map when starting from 0 courses/lessons completed.

Basically, it's dependent on the classes you're taking, those overlapping classes most likely will have completed lessons as you're building on previously learned content. This would be the case for those that ladder from one class to another in similar subject matter, such as College Algebra and Precalculus, or something to the like, such as laddering from Intro to Operating Systems to Operating Systems. One is an intro class and the other is the main course, they have some classes such as Chem, Physics, that follow this, but I don't recall if those have placements as not all classes will have this option.

I remember when I completed Intro to Programming, half of Data Structures was already done. Some courses have significant overlap.

I imagine you could group subjects like business, tech, and psychology, then take placement tests in those areas to see how many lessons they automatically complete in other courses.
