Also wondering this about sos 110
You can work ahead though I wouldn't turn in assignments ahead of time since the professor might not like that, and the assignments may not be graded till after the due date.

This class was pretty easy, even easier than SOS 110 in my opinion. It's based off 18 assignments. Six Discussion Forums which are easy, Six Written Assignments which are all 500 words and very quick, and Six Parts of a Final Project which is not very difficult either. There is no programming in the class.

Who was your professor for cis 351 software engineering?
What about sos110? And who do you recommend for instructor?

I had Jason Litz for Software Engineering which was an easy A. That class rarely has more than a handful of students so you likely won't have a choice.
Yankowski, Anthony was who I had for SOS-110. I got an A barely. I would go to rate my professor and find someone else that gives easy A's.

Are there any book or software requirements for this course.

There is a book though I rarely used it.
The assignments usually reference some papers they give you.
The SRS (Software requirements specification) you have to write isn't referenced in how to do this in the book, so you have to use outside resources.

The SRS is described in chapter 4 of the textbook.
There are also optional YouTube videos by the textbook's author for each chapter/module.

@Pats20, if you have enough RA and 16 residency credits, you may want to give Saylor.org's option a try as that should be UL. I am going that route first and then if it doesn't work out, go for the course at TESU for part of my 16 credits I want to take. I haven't fully decided yet, but that's one of my options...

Dag gone it. I already registered for it through tesu. I needed as part of my 30 ra credits though, I could’ve taken it through saylor and taken a cheaper ra course through elsewhere. But than again it would’ve been another course. Oh well. I hope I works out. Thanks bj
