The pretests in the Peterson's CLEP Success study guide are not representative of the actual test. This free download on the TERC site does contain good explanations of how to solve problems. If you need additional explanations, it might be worth a look. But don't look at the pretests because they don't accurately represent the test like the CLEP Official Study Guide does.
