I wanted to throw COSC some love today as I graduate. I highly recommend Charter Oak to anyone looking to finish their degree and for anyone with a lot of credits they are awesome to deal with. When I was looking at the big 3 the choice for me was simple COSC gave me the most UL credits and offered the best path to a degree.

I had a wonderful experience with them as well - especially their credential evaluation which helped me earn almost 40 credits. COSC basically saved two years of my life.
Don't miss out on something great just because it might also be difficult.

My accolades include the way they handled my financial aid (PELL) via a consortium agreement with CSU-Pueblo.
I would not be where I am without my COSC BS!!!

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

I have one semester left at COSC but I must say that I have enjoyed my experience here as well. I did have an issue with one of my consortium agreements (because the person processing it couldn't count...) but once I laid out my case it was quickly fixed. They're a very flexible college.

Congratulations, but I would advise anyone who can afford to to apply to all of the Big 3. If you can't afford to do that, then maybe the people on this forum can give you an idea of which school will be best. Different schools work for different situations. With me, for example, I got the most UL credits at TESC. However, not everyone's situation is like my own.

COSC was a hugely important part of my life and without their great service and flexibility, I would have not finished my degree. I was fortunate enough to have the late Doris Cassiday as an advisor - she was amazing, but I know that everyone there is amazing. I met quite a few people when I flew out there to attend my graduation ceremony. They all genuinely care and do everything they can to help the non-traditional learner.

I had NO idea she passed away. She was my advisor too. OMG. That makes me so sad.
She was awesome and I have some many encouraging emails from her (which I kept). Wow!

I agree with sanantone.:iagree: I would advise anyone who can afford to apply to all of the Big 3. So far TESC in my case is not good (EC is more generous and accurate), but I have yet to see my evaluation from COSC. I still like all three!cheersmate

So sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I think I found out because I'm still on the COSC email list. It was so sad to hear and most people dream of touching so many lives in the way that she did. She was truly an impressive woman and amazing advisor.
