COSC individualized studies

Does anybody know if Education counts as the Professional Studies component for the COSC Bachelor in Individualized Studies? We are considering Physics/Education.

I believe they consider Physics to be a Liberal Art area and Education to be a Professional Studies area so that should work Individualized Studies focus. I am pretty sure that Education is professional studies but if they say it is a liberal art you can just switch to Liberal Studies. It is the same program. The only difference is that all of the focus' are liberal arts while Individualized Studies allows for whatever combination you want.

When we did my son's IS plan, it contained credits / projected credits for 2 areas, so it makes sense that Education in your son's case SHOULD count inside his plan. Has your plan been approved yet or are you still just browsing? I did a lot of pre-work before sending ours in, the more you can do for them (COSC) the better imo. Even include the ACE recommendation if applicable.

Our plan included some, but not all, with exact matching prefixes - so if you're looking at EDU as one of the Indy study areas and it has an EDU prefix, I'm about 99% confident that it will work.
