CPAPP student status at TESU? what does this mean?
#11
When did you register for the cornerstone and what semester are you registered for? You should be enrolled 10 days after the semester begins. You should still have an id number you just won't be able to access your student id card until your status changes to enrolled. You can go into OSS and you should be able to find your student id number. I think it might be listed under profile. It should also be listed on the top of your academic eval as well.

@Frostedfire

I paid for the cornerstone and had it refunded later on by TESU.
Email them, then call them referencing your email. Put some pressure on them in a good-mannered way Smile

Here is what I wrote in my email:
Quote:I have taken four classes with Study.com and believe that I qualify for the Study.com affiliate waiver of the cornerstone
(if this was only something offered in the past, I apologize).

Since I wanted to sign up for TECEPs before it was too late, I automatically signed up and payed for the cornerstone.

If the study.com affiliate applies and is still relevant, is it possible to deregister from the cornerstone and receive a refund?

Thanks so much for your help.

There's a trick about the student ID that I can't remember.

I had asked about it, and it's something like 14 days after the course starts or something to do with the end of the month / beginning of the month. All I know is that even with my first course payment paid, it took awhile for it to hit.

As an aside, I still can't print it, from myedison OR oss... hm

All this info is very helpful! I was not aware that the student ID and enrollment don't show up until 10-14 days into the course. After reading all the comments in more detail, I realize that since I don't need any TECEPs, I'd need to take the cornerstone in order to lock in the 2016-2017 catalogue while I work on my other courses.

That's a great idea, but I thought we're not allowed to sign up for the capstone until we only have 9 credits left to complete in the degree. Is that true or can I sign up now? (I obviously am so unaware of these things and so thankful for all the advice).

It's recommended that you have a certain amount of credits (I don't recall how many at the moment), but they don't actually stop you from enrolling if you're below that. I think a handful of people have tried around here.

That being said, at some point they'd probably intervene. If you have like 20cr and register, you might get an email about it after they cancel your course. Who knows.

My account shows 'enrolled' today. My student ID is showing. And for any others who were confused like me; the university ID you have in your profile section is the same number as your student ID.

There is also at least one 1cr TECEP (Jane Austen???). The fee for the 1cr TECEP is cheaper then the usual 3cr ones.
