Calling All TESC experts: please review and advise of next step: I am under pressure
#1
Degree path review - need my degree ASAP - What do I need to finish?

I have 54 credits according to the academic evaluation from TESC. They are the result of Straighterline, ALEKS, CLEP and DSST. I have not taken any course at TESC yet.

I would appreciate assistance. I am stuck. I don't know what courses to take to finish this. My original plan was to get a sociology degree but because of some recent events in my work life, I don't care what degree I earn, I just need one as soon as soon as possible.

The break down per TESC is as follows:

Mat-115 Intermediate Algebra 3
COS-101 Intro to Computers 3
ENG-201*Technical Writing*3
AOJ-102 Intro to*Criminal Justice*3
BIO-208 The Science of Nutrition 3
ECO-111 Macroeconomics 3
ENC-101 English Composition I 3
ENC-102 English Composition II 3
HUM-101 Intro Hum I Philos Thought 3
HUM-102 Intro Hum II Poet Drama Nar 3
SOS-101*Social Sciences*and*History*I 3
SOS-102*Social Sciences*and*History*II 3
HIS-113 American*History*I 3
HIS-102 Western Civilization II 3
PHI-101 Intro To Philosophy 3
HIS-101 Western Civilization I 3
SOC-101 Intro to*Sociology*3
REL-405 World Religions 3

I haven't enrolled at TESC as I was planning to do pay per credit (I think its called). I know there are many experienced folks on here that can give me some specific plan as to what I need to do to finish. Thank you in advance. This has been keeping me up nights.

For fastest, I would look into BA Social Sciences or Liberal Studies. You should be able to log into OSS on the TESC site and use the academic evaluator to see how much of the program files in with your credits.

Go on the degree forum wikia page that Sanatone created for the TESC Liberal Studies or the Social Science degree. There is a complete break down.

A couple places to look for social science credits are DSST, CLEP, TECEP, ECE, study.com, Tor College Credits, straighterline, propero, maybe Penn Foster (depends on ACE recommendation). I had looked at the BA Social Science degree a few months ago and it appears to be very easy to do.

sarahbellym,

I don't mean to be disrespectful, but you've been a member of this forum for almost two years and have already posted help for degree plans before. At this point, wouldn't you be able to put one together on your own? Several members including myself have posted templates for filling in the credits and others have put in a lot of work on the wiki. Degree Forum Wiki

Please browse the forum and at least attempt to put a degree plan together. We can then more easily help you fill it in, or tell you where we think you can do better.

Wish you the best...

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.

Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.

Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.

Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.

Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.
