Hi everyone,
I'm currently studying for the MIS DSST for a TESU CIS degree. I'm struggling, though. Self-study has never been my strong point, and I find I do better with more structure like an actual course and assignments. I've already spent 2 months on this, and feel like I've made no progress. I was wondering if anyone knew if the Saylor course Management Information Systems BUS206 will fit into my degree like the Management Information Systems DSST? I feel like I'll do much better having an actual course.
Thanks in advance!

It's not on this list, so I don't think it is: https://www.saylor.org/partner-schools/t...niversity/
I don't think COSC takes it either. If anyone has any alternatives to the DSST, I'm all ears. Would save me a two hour drive to the nearest testing center.

For UL you have the following: DSST, Davar, Ed4credit, Study.com, or
Saylor Strategic Information Technology transfers in as CIS/MIS 301
For LL you have the following: Saylor MIS - transfers in as CIS/MIS 201
The good part of going the Saylor route is you get both courses for $50 and they don't duplicate!

The Saylor course might serve as your study material, or augment it, and for free. You needn't take the test for credit.

I should have been more specific. COSC requires ITE 101 a a pre-requisite for the Organizational Leadership track.

Since TESU downgraded courses for other providers, I don't know that either Saylor course will come in as you want/need. Which degree is this for? Do you need UL or LL?
I might consider Study.com, or Ed4Credit, they are both UL. I don't suggest Davar since it's an exam.

This is for the CIS degree. I would need LL since I have all my other UL courses taken care of.

I might try the Saylor courses first:
BUS206: Management Information Systems (CIS-201)
BUS303: Strategic Information Technology (CIS-301 the last time I heard, but it's not UL through ACE, so it may have been downgraded).
If you want a course that's proven (I don't know how good the Saylor courses are), Study.com will probably be your fastest option.

If you just need LL, it won't matter which course you take, get it from a source you have taken courses from, example Study.com
Or if you would like to save some cash, do the Saylor course, either one should fit the bill just right as per above posts.
Goals: TESU BSBA GM (Added CIS) and BA Computer Science
BSBA GM - Added CIS AOS (CIS & GM completed)
BACS & Grad Plans (BACS instead of BALS w/NSM)
AAS ACS & ESST: Remaining - Associate Capstone
ASNSM CS: Completed, ASNSM Math: Remaining - Calculus I
Taking a majority of credits at Sophia.org, SL, and Study.com to finish these degrees
Updating my courses remaining by following forum advice, guide, spreadsheet & wiki
