Business degree through testing?

It's very rare to transfer 90 credits to WGU. I haven't seen anyone transfer anywhere near that amount. They have a handful of gen eds. Many of their courses can't be taken anywhere else. Seems like they're doing more of this as they update programs.

It's straight up impossible to transfer 90 to their business programs (the non-transferrable section is 35-40 credits). I think the only way to transfer that much to an IT program is to already have an associate's degree & the exact alt-credit courses/certifications (which kinda defeats the purpose of WGU/CBE imo).

BAin4weeks was my entrance to this whole idea!

One thing to remember was that he was active-duty military (IIRC) and could take exams for FREE.  So it's still a good option for military.  I personally took 2 CLEP and 2 DSST exams in a single day and passed all of them.

DANTES is still there, it's now called DSST.

I think one thing that's changed is the CB model - that was not a huge thing back then, it certainly has grown, and I think it will  continue to do so.

And, just think about the number of course providers we now have that weren't available back then!  Study.com, SL, Sophia, Saylor, etc.  Plus the ability to take courses/exams from home.  That just didn't exist back then.
