Can you take more than 18 credits?
#1
Currently need to finish 21 credits to graduate.. I was fortunate enough to have received an offer for a job after graduation but I didn'tt take into account the graduation deadline and I would need to graduate before July. I know it will be tough but this is something I really need to do. Just wanted to know if anyone has actually done that before. I just got off the phone with TESU and they said that there is no limit it just has to get approved. Appreciate any responses thanks!

What do you need to take? List the gaps, specifically.

I took 9 credits including capstone from TESU in my final term, and 2 other exams, Coopersmith and the UExcel exam in Social Psychology. Got As in everything graded! One of the TESU courses was an e-pack, which I would definitely suggest for anything you can.

16 credits are the max TESU will let you take for your first term.

After that, you could petition to take more.

Have you taken any TESU courses?
Degrees: BA Computer Science, BS Business Administration with a concentration in CIS, AS Natural Science & Math, TESU. 4.0 GPA 2022.
Course Experience:  CLEP, Instantcert, Sophia.org, Study.com, Straighterline.com, Onlinedegree.org, Saylor.org, Csmlearn.com, and TEL Learning.
Certifications: W3Schools PHP, Google IT Support, Google Digital Marketing, Google Project Management

Also, TESU terms start every month. You could take 4 classes 12 credits one term, and 3 classes 9 credits the next month. Just about doable, if you take some of those each as e-packs.

What classes do you need? Unless you're going for a degree with no alt-credit available, it'd probably be cheaper/easier/faster to take 16 credits with TESU and then 6 credits from Sophia/Study.com/TECEPs/etc.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

I always encourage anyone who takes a big load like that to be familiar with the course extension process. It could save your GPA if you find yourself overloaded. You have to complete at least half the course to apply for the extension. It's also important to know that if you miss assignment deadlines without getting approval from the mentor first, school policy requires that points be docked for being late. with prior approval, the mentor has full leeway to grant extra time. So always be sure to contact the mentor before you miss a turn in date.

The course extension is not free, so you don't want to do it if you don't have to, but if extending the capstone will allow you to get an A instead of a C, it could be well worth it.
