Hugo-remember: your subconscious will take as fact whatever you tell it repeatedly.

My suggestion, choose what you want your life to look like- how you want the test to turn out , what the score will be, what the room will look like, etc. Write those things down, read them, picture them vividly in your mind several times a day, until you create a burning desire inside. Give your subconscious a chance to figure out a way to make it happen for you.

The hardest thing for me is figuring out what I want. Once I do that, it is just a matter of time.

Do you get test anxiety. It seems strange to me that you did so well on the practice test in the Clep guide and not on the real test.

Was the clep practice test on paper and the real one on the computer ?

If yes, perhaps you need to be taking pencil and paper tests.

Some people do better with paper and pencil tests.

Well the practice I printed out did it on paper. Missed five, then I knew all of the 97 questions. On the CLEP today I saw maybe 10 similar wording questions

Regardless of your decision for moving forward, Hugo, IC and the IC Forum will be here. Even if you opt out of test-taking, I'm sure everyone here wishes you the best!

Don't give up learning, even if you decide not to learn through testing.

One more thought, try a the DSST/Dantes as they only have 4 choices per question rather then 5. This makes it a little easier in narrowing down and increases your chance if you have to guess at the question.

Also study up on the tricks of testing, even learning one or two more tricks, might be enough to pull out a pass.

I've used a product called "Vango Notes" for a few exams. Basically it's like a text book on a cd. I listened to them in the car on the commute...

If you have iTunes you have even more options. For Ethics I found 50+ hours of study material on iTunes. Some of it was pretty numbing to listen too (think cure for insomnia) but it really did help.

Best of luck.
