College Readiness - New Sophia.org Course

I took a ton of courses with Sophia, usually the "HALFOFF" deal is revealed before you check out. It is revealed when you are adding courses to the cart. So even if you don't see that deal being talked about or promoted, go to the cart and see if it is offered before emailing them. Sometimes, the staff there is not aware of what the current promotions are.

Now, there was a temporary code that cookderosa shared and that saved me a bunch of money, even more than the "HALFOFF" code. It was only temporary however. If they ever do that again then STOCK UP!

Its just the price of them that makes them not competitive. But I'd choose them over SL or Study.com anyday.

I agree, I had a great experience with Sophia.org. I thought the graders were very fair for the English Composition class. Sophia courses give you multiple teachers/lecturers to choose from for their pre-recorded content, so you are not ever really stuck with someone you don't enjoy listening to. The interface is intuitive and the staff there are very friendly if you ever have any questions.

The only negative thing I could say about Sophia.org is that they don't really seem to be in-touch with what will transfer or not to the Big 3 or WGU. Many of my transfer questions were basically met with "I don't know" as their response. I think they need to rekindle/strengthen some of those relationships. Aside from that, they are great.

So this ends their 3 free college credits. After completing their two free 1 credit courses students were sent an email to take Student Success (1 credit) for free (originally about $49). Kind of a bummer..

Yep, now you "only" get 2cr free there.  Since Student Success was a 1cr Free Elective, it's not a huge loss, as it's a free elective.  It's easy enough to find other free/cheap options elsewhere.
