I took my first test today. It was suppose to be english comp with essay but when I started testing I realized that it was College Comp Modular. It seemed more difficult and it had two essays. My question is, will this suffice for the wriiten english requirement for Excelsior?

I see that it was not College Comp Modular. It was simply College Comp.

No, the last time I checked, EC did not accept either of the English Comp CLEP exams toward the WER. It was recently changed to a 6 credit requirement for bachelor's degrees. There should be a list of options for the WER in the latest school catalog:
https://www.excelsior.edu/469
It should include the ECE (Excelsior College Exam) and Straighterline courses.
Sorry; I know this is bad news. I wish they accepted CLEP for this.

College Comp (the non-modular version) is six credits if you pass. If they really don't take it at EC then that is really bad in my mind. TESC will take mine for both ENC-101 and ENC-102.
If you were wondering how long it takes to get your score back for the exam you might like to know this:
Scores submitted after April 12th and before April 26th at 11:59 EST are scored on April 28th but they don't mail the score to you (or the school) until May 10th. They mail the score from CollegeBoard's New Jersey address so depending on where you live it may take 1-5 days (I got mine in Minnesota three postal days later).
Good Luck
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.
