Biostatistics at Texas A&M Graduate
#1
I wanted to share my update for all of the familiar names in this excellent support system.  I hope it will also be an encouragement for all of you who are in the middle of this journey.

Last month, I finished my 12th and final online graduate course in statistics.  In May, I will graduate with my Master's degree with an emphasis in Biostatistics from Texas A&M!!!
https://online.stat.tamu.edu/

It is a program that can be done completely online without a thesis.  Having earned all of my undergraduate credit through independent study, it was a good experience to get to interact with professors and classmates for this degree.

I started in 9/2014 and took one course at a time.  That was the most expensive way to go.  Each course was about $3000.  I know that some of you have wondered about how to pay for graduate school.  For me, it worked out to be one-third cash, one-third savings not used for my undergraduate degree, and one-third tax credits and scholarships.  I did not need to use the loans that were offered.

I would like to use my degree to be part of clinical research teams that are studying causes and treatments of chronic illnesses.  I'll take some time to figure out how to do this, since it will need to be in a non-traditional way, just like my degrees were.

Thank you all for your part in helping me to accomplish my lifelong goal of completing my college education!  I’m glad to see this forum is still going strong.  Keep up the great life-changing work!

They wanted graded courses for those Calculus prerequisites, so I took two correspondence courses through LSU.
