Well, their luck finally ran out. Spain completely and utterly dominated the match. Argentina didn't have a single shot on target, or even a shot at goal, for the entire game until Spain scored its first goal in overtime.
That said, the refs took a man away from Argentina and forced them to play 10 vs. 11 for the final 40 minutes of the match, which I think tainted the final game in the World Cup. At that point, I was actually rooting for Argentina to hang on and make it to the shootout.
Since I tuned in around the 80th minute, it made the match a bit more exciting for me to watch.
