I like seeing the paradigm shift in education. Obviously there's some cheap options already available that many here have taken advantage of like WGU, TESU, SNHU, etc. But I think it's good for more options to be available, as it will offer more competition and opportunities to be people in different places in life.

In addition to raising the cost to 25k, the option to select what University partner you would want for this is gone.
You can see other changes they made by looking at the page on the internet wayback machine which captured the 10k version yesterday. https://web.archive.org/web/202207181400...cience-pmf

its gradually take more concrete shape. There is no mention of 23 courses anymore, and the industry partner are mentioned either meta, google or IBM.
The program duration is updated, it can be finished in 3 yrs for full time student.
Stil no application needed. no transcript, test scores, toefl, essay, recommendation letter or anything like that at all.
Someone who didnt finish high school can be accepted to the program and earn BS degree. Even 8-9th graders can start taking college courses so he can get BS degree much sooner
I think nothing set in stone yet, courasera still working on it, the final costs might be higher or lower than 25k, who knows...

$25k is a disappintment. TESU's BA CS, UoL's BS CS, and GeorgiaTech's MS CS are all significantly cheaper. I wonder which uni is partnering with Coursera for this. Oregon State's postbacc BS in CS costs $30k and UPenn's MCIT around $35k...
I wish UMPI offered a BS or BA in CS - that would probably be the cheapest CS degree possible.
