pavlc Wrote:I'm in the middle of the third (of 4) Cisco Network Academy class series at the local college and the ipv6 hasn't been talked about in depth at all. Maybe they go over it in the fourth class? Everything I have read is be able to subnet in your head because of the time crunch of the exam.

Also, as for simulators, cisco has a new one out for the Cisco Network Academy students.
It's called packettracer. The recently released 4.0 version seems to be able to do anything that a regualr router, switch and host can do, except ospf routing protocol.

Thats the version i got also and I had several question with OSPF including ONE OF THE SIMS!!! Be careful. It also seemed that alot of the first questions I got were advanced OSPF questions, though i think they were the ones they throw in there and dont count.

Good Luck!!

Why bother with the crappy emulators? Run the full IOS image on the Cisco PC hardware port:

Way to go bro. I'm rooting for you. As far as the acceptance of PMP credit, I'm curious to the same question. Hopefully, someone will give us some ideals.

Hey Wannabeit,

the school is aspen university http://www.aspen.edu
I really want to go to NYU for my MBA but as an alternative I may select this school and knock it out online.
Im doing research on the school and its reputation though but I could be done with a MBA by december of 07 if I start there with my PMP by May.

For what it's worth, Aspen also give 9 graduate credits for MCSE.

It's not MIT - but at $4200 out the door - it's good to know.

Another unfortunate thing is that I can't get any sort of credit for passing my Series 7 Securities Licensing exam...at least not through EC. Serious bummer!
