European International University
Thank you

We agree on the central point that EIU–Paris does not fall under the LMD definition of a French state university or a French private university operating within the LMD system.

I have provided the legal status of the institution, the nature of its autonomous institutional awards, and the results of my credential evaluation, along with supporting documentation.
EIU clearly describes itself on its website, application materials, diploma, and transcript as a private distance-learning institution.

For context, bachelor’s “top-up” programs typically consist of 4–8 modules, including a final capstone.

In the UK system, a standard three-year bachelor’s degree generally includes approximately 4–8 modules per academic year, with subject specialization occurring earlier during Sixth Form (ages 16–18)

A top-up does not compress three years into a few months. It represents completion of the final year following prior Level 4 and Level 5 study.
The EIU–Paris BBA top-up consists of eight modules, including a capstone, which is consistent with common UK and European structures.

I have provided the relevant facts and documentation and will not be adding further commentary.

One attends a university to obtain an education and a degree.

One purchases a diploma to appear to have obtained a degree. And it works. Until someone looks closely enough.

Hmm, I think we're bringing too much attention to the group. Unfortunately, until they get country recognized accreditation, their non ACBSP programs aren't really worth it, unless the top-ups are the way you want to get into a valid UK Top Up institution. Otherwise, I'd look for other affordable options.

Given the discussions about pathway options, I agree that there are better-established routes for those planning to progress into additional programs.
To clarify, I did not actually need the EIU BBA; I was already doing the Level 4, 5 Diplomas and UK BSc (Hons) Top up after the Levels 4 and 5.
However, I found them interesting, so I completed both the OTHM Level 6 diploma and EIU BBA Top-up as extracuricular activities.

For those who have a valid UK Level 4 or 5 diploma and wish to advance to a UK Top-Up BSc, they can do so as the next step after completion of the UK Levels 4 and 5.
Alternatively, they can earn a UK Level 6 Diploma as a top-up.

Having UK Diplomas at Levels 4, 5, and 6 essentially means one has completed UK Bachelor's level studies and can progress to the Master's degree level in the UK (Level 7). Some working professionals do the diplomas and go for the Master's Level this way.

On average, a UK Top-Up BSc costs about £6,000 while a UK Level 6 Diploma costs around £1,000. The EIU BBA Top-Up has a cost of approximately €1,000.

The completion of the three UK Diplomas (Levels 4, 5, and 6), the completion of the UK BSc (Hons) Top-Up, and the completion of the EIU Top-Up all were fun and interesting.

I joined this forum in May of last year, and since then, had to learn the Spanish system (ENEB and Propios), then Italian, as well as European Qualifications Frameworks, and UK Regulated Qualifications Frameworks.

Most recently with EIU, thanks to their disclosures that they are not part of the French National system, it gave an opportunity to research more and learn about the French National system (LMD aka "Licence, Master, Doctorat"), the RNCP, compared to the non LMD UAI school sector, aka "Paris Schools".

It's been quite fun, and the discussion was never about EIU for me. It was more about understanding and sharing what I have found about various education frameworks while staying factual.

All things considered, the EIU BBA Top-Up still seemed worth it for an experimental credential. Here in the US, it should still be well-received in the private sector using the IEE evaluation. Just like the Spanish propios, it will count for academic continuing education and professional training.

Everyone who needs a regionally accredited degree or equivalent should ideally earn one in their state and/or have it covered by scholarships or employers.
