DSST Geology or DSST Physical Science I?
#1
I only need 1 hour of science to graduate. Both DSST Geology or DSST Physical Science I are options.

I do not find any IC flashcards for the tests, and little information available.

Which is the easier of the two? Which one would you all recommend?

Thanks -

I passed DSST Geology after about a week of study from a textbook off the recommended reading list. I have not yet taken DSST Physical Science, but I have been studying for it sporadically and I still do not feel ready to take it. I think geology is a bit easier to understand, so I recommend that one unless you already have a lot of experience with chemistry and physics.

Good luck!

Hi Everyone,
I"M new to this forum and need help.

I need to take a physical science to complete my degree. Everyone has informed me that DSST is the best one and CLEP is too difficult.

I took the DSST Environment and Humanity: Ecological concepts (ecosystems, global ecology, food chains and webs), environmental impacts, environmental management & conservation, and political processes & the future.

But did not pass Sad , I have a choice to take principles of physical Science or Physical Geology.

Principles of Physical Science I: Newton’s Laws of Motion, energy & momentum, thermodynamics, wave and optics, electricity and magnetism, chemistry, properties of matter, atomic theory & structure, chemical reactions.
or
Physical Geology: Igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks, weathering, groundwater, glaciers, oceanic systems, deserts, winds, hydrologic cycle, internal Earth processes, mineral & energy resources, environmental geology.

Which one would you suggest? I want to study for 2 weeks and take the test.. Also, where can I get the material to study for the test? What do you suggest I get or reasearch to get material?

YOUR HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED

Hi I need to take a physical Science exam.

I heard that DSST is the best to take.
My choices are Physical Geology and Physical Science. Which do you suggest? I have about 2 weeks to study for them.

Also, What should I use to study for this exam? Where can I get study guides that is the most efficient and economical

I found this book for Dsst Physical Science 1 Study Guide!
By David C. Wilson

Has anyone used this? Any information is appreciated.. THANK YOU

Hi Which books did you use to study for the physical geology?

The Earth: An Introduction to Physical Geology, by Tarbuck/Lutgens, and Exercises in Physical Geology by Hamblin and Howard. Both books are very good, lots of pictures and excellent illustrations.

Good luck!
