Hey guys I am taking the this test too Oct 24th. I am watching the Ken Burns DVDs and reading The Complete Idiot's Guide of the Civil War. My friend took the test and that is all she read.
OperaLady or MissClep is there are way any of you could share the word document with me?
I would be happy to share the Word document with you all, but since I didn't put it together and it technicallly belongs to Operalady, I would like to get her permission first. In fact, she would probably be the better one to get it from. Operalady, what do you say?

No problem. Share if you like.
Just look everthing up for yourself if you can. Verify.

Here is Operalady's Civil War study guide. (At least it should be attatched. If you can't access it let me know). I haven't had any time to seriously study for this exam, but when I do I'm sure this study guide will be a great help, as it looks really thorough. Please let us know how it works out for you, as well as how the test went in general, as I would be really interested to hear!
Good luck!
MissCLEP
P.S. Thank you so much Operalady for your generosity!

You are most welcome.

You guys are awesome!!! Thanks so much for putting this together!! I will absolutely be using it as a starting point and filling in and verifying where I can!
I passed it today with a 68. My only advice, in addition to instacert, DoD peterson's and wikipedia is to look at a lot of maps and to study the western theatre of the war. I had a hard time with the western theatre until I looked at some maps of the various campaigns as the western theatre often goes neglected as most popular analysis seems to focus on late Grant, Lee, Gettysburg, Antietam, Richmond, and Washington.
Other than that, I simply just put in the time doing flash cards, practice tests, wikipedia-ing for greater depth as needed, and in general just immersing myself in the material.
