Degree plan
#11
I think someone reported that the SDC course doesn't fully prepare you for the TECEP but the book they use can be difficult to obtain (it's out of print) so the SDC course is probably the best resource that's easily available.

Study.com offers a lot of computer science courses. I wonder why tesu only allows so few? Oh well. We do what we gotta do.

Better than Excelsior, at least. Excelsior has an IT degree but allows NONE of SDC's computer courses. I was tempted to get that IT degree until I realized that.

They changed it, and now allow a bunch of Study.com's IT courses.  Not sure if you can get everything you need, but you can definitely bring in a bunch more courses.

Huh, so they do. It looks like you could at least get MOST of the IT core through SDC now. That's great!

Its wonderful specially coz they r ABET accredited. Its way better than normal IT related degree without such accreditation

Oh I’m not complaining. Even with the sudden change of 90 max ace credits , they offer the opportunity of college to so many people that would otherwise not be possible. Hats off to Sophia as well !!

I don't think anyone cares if an IT degree is ABET or not.  Only Engineering degrees.

I'm uncertain if the Study.com courses will work for the IT degree, but it's certainly work asking about (most of the courses say Tech Elective rather than working for a particular requirement.
