You may run into a problem, UT Austin will only accept 8 CLEP tests I believe. You are also correct in that they also only accept certain CLEPS. So, trying to have the credit "laundered" at the CC may not work because your transcript will still show it as an exam or transfer credit from an exam. UT will most likely not accept the hours when you attempt to transfer those hours over. Besides, if it is the CC I am thinking of, UT Austin seems to only take half their credits anyway. My co-worker graduated from UT Austin after getting two years of credit from the local CC. UT took only about half or a bit more of the credits. My wife had the same problem, she is also a UT grad, transferred in with a year at the local CC.
