Disaster Information Specialist, Advanced Level II (Certificate) using FEMA IS Course

OK, fellow disaster geeks here is another opportunity to use those FEMA IS courses.

The MLA Disaster Information Specialization, developed by Medical Library Association (MLA) and the National Library Medicine (NLM), offers training in providing access to information for disaster and emergency preparedness, response, and recovery.

Disaster Information Specialist, Basic Level I (Certificate), 12-Hours (27-total contact hours)

In total 9 hours (34%) of their FREE online three courses and 18 hours (67%) of FEMA IS courses that I had already completed.

I paid on one day. I then took the three online courses. I then submitted for both levels in two different online applications and all within one week. I received the Disaster Information Specialist, Basic Level I (Certificate) in less than a month. They only do them at the end of the month I am told.
