Does anyone know if the TECEP counts toward the area of study in TESC's BA in Computer Science? When I use the "What-if" function it doesn't show up in the area of study but I don't put much faith in the unofficial evaluations.

I asked if it could fulfill the Computer Science category in my Natural Sciences area of study... the answer was no.
You could always check with them though as their policies change.

It's been used as a natural science before. Policies do change, but you already know that advisors often give out wrong answers. There are probably still advisors telling people that the Fundamentals of Counseling DSST can't be used as a social science because its prefix is COU even though it is always transcribed as a psychology course by the registrar.

Is it okay to send a Help Ticket directly to the Registrar regarding Network Technology? I'd love to be able to use it (that might save a bomb....), however the answer from the advisers have been no, no, no.

You can send a ticket directly to them and hope they don't reroute it to the advisors. In this situation, it might be better to call them.

I'm pretty sure it can't be used in the Area of Study.
TESC put my Network Technology (online, not TECEP though) into my "Free Electives" and the course is upper level so if it counted as computer science class I would think they would have placed it inside of the Area of Study.
I'm a 19 year old, Software Engineer, who is enrolled at TESC for a B.A. in Computer Science. My bachelors coursework is completed and I am waiting for graduation to roll around. Will start pursuing ALM in Information Technology with a concentration in Software Engineering from Harvard Extension School sometime in the coming year.
