Well, I took the DSST Organizational Behavior about 3 months ago and did quite well on it. I just got word today that my school (AMU) "revised its guidelines" and has decided that it will no longer accept DSST Org Behavior as an equivalent for my required class MGMT311 Org Behavior. They JUST determined this, after I took the exam specifically for this school and for this class. I checked the course equivalents the day before I took this exam and AMU's site still showed that they'd accept this as an equivalent. However, by the time they got my transcripts from the DSST people, they had reviewed their policy and decided that DSST Org Behavior will NOT be accepted now as an equivalent. So I'm REALLY ticked off, because I'm out 3 weeks of studying and $110 for something that's thrown basically in the garbage because I'd already maxed out all my elective credits. I'm super angry about this.
Anyway, it shows (as of today, of course, that means nothing) that the Org Behavior ECE is accepted as an equivalent to the course I'm trying to test out of. So, my question is, how hard is Org Behavior ECE? I've never taken an ECE exam.
PLEASE don't refer me to the exam feedback forum... I just cancelled my IC subscription two weeks ago because I thought I was finally done with testing. I'm not in the mood to re-instate my subscription just for this.
Please help?

Have you considered an appeal with AMU based on the date you took the exam, as the Prometric official score report list the date tested on it.
It can't hurt to at least try an appeal especially if you are sure that on the day you took your exam, they were accepting the DSST version.

Peace, I might try that, but the response I got from the AMU Credit Award people didn't make it sound like there was much wiggle room there. However, I'll try to call my student adviser tomorrow and make an appeal because this seems grossly unfair to me. In case that doesn't work out, though, I'm making contingency plans. I'm getting really annoyed with AMU because this is the 2nd time something like this has happened (where they say one minute they'll accept something and then when I do the equivalent and then turn in the transfer credit, they say it's not equivalent anymore).

ECE is going to be the same concepts, of course, but looking at the exam outlines it's going to be more in-depth. I'm planning to take the ECE (I like the subject and my local DSST test site is none too easy to deal with) and I am planning on more application questions where I have to synthesize concepts, and recognize the theory in the scenario. IIRC from the feedback forum, this one's pretty challenging.
Plus it's for a letter grade, so...

I think I used this site for my primary study source.
Organizational Behavior | Chapter Objectives
I passed using that website, the exam content guide, and Google. Make sure you have a good handle on the exam outline subjects and you'll be ok.
That sucks about your school though. I'm glad Excelsior has been cooperative with me so far.

Does anyone know how I even DO an ECE exam? I called my normal testing center and they had absolutely no idea what I was talking about.

ECE are administered at peasonvue test centers. You sign up for the exam with Exclesior ( do you have a MYEC account set up ?) and schedule a date with pearsonvue.

Peace, thank you! (I'm a veteran, I'm not active duty anymore.) About how much do these exams cost?
I'm still making an appeal about the DSST to my school, but it doesn't look good.

Currently BUSX 315 Org. Behavior Exam (435) is $240
The optional practice exams (Organizational Behavior Practice Exam (763) ) are $65
So I would fight hard for an appeal as the ECE is much pricier then the DSST. Remember if the first person says no to the appeal go higher. I remember when I worked in retail at the customer service desk... we always told the person no when they had a request that seemed unreasonable to us (as that was our job) but 9 outta 10 times if they asked for a manager, the manager worked it out for them because that was their job.
So if at first you don't succeed try again.

There are tons of used editions of the Robbins/Judge (12th ed.) textbook on Amazon for under $20. This should correspond to the exam. But if you can find someone to OK your DSST I agree that's the best option
