Another Round of New Sophia Courses

Critical Thinking and Career Readiness are now live.

I am now curious if Critical Thinking will work for UMPI 2D GEC. If SDC's "Critical Thinking & Analysis" works I don't see why Sophia's course wouldn't. The course has one touchstone.

2D is a studio art course. I wouldn't count on Critical Thinking transferring in for 2D.

Where I live the CLEP testing center is over an hour away. It still hasn't reopened because of Covid. And I'm in the US. International students don't have this luxury.

This is news to me. When did they change that?

At least a year ago. I did it online soon after it started.  There were some pretty major bugs (including an ambiguously worded button that sounds like it's taking you from review back to the main test, but actually exits you from the exam entirely).  But... ultimately, with some effort, I got my credits and it wasn't that painful. Hopefully it's gotten better now.

That course looks pretty sweet. There is one touchstone, but then again, there is no final.

This will be great for WGU and UMPI students and a nice elective for some.

I'm not seeing it on my Sophia list when I log in. Although I got an email saying it was added.

Finished it in just under four hours, submitted the mile stone, and it was returned graded in less than an hour.
