Eastern University MBA
#1
Hello all,

I am new to this forum so I am hoping I am posting in the right place. I recently transferred to Eastern University’s MBA Online program. I am about to complete my first two courses with A’s. However, I have read that the program gets progressively more difficult and I was hoping for feedback from anyone who has completed or is in the process of completing their MBA at EU. I was looking for some specifics on what to expect for upcoming courses such as Managerial Economics and an elective from the GDEV concentration. Are these courses a lot more difficult?

First of all, congratulations on acceptance to the MBA program and completing the first two courses with an A. I cannot comment on EU grad school, but you are off to a great start! Stick it out, do your best, and cross the finish line. When I was in graduate school, I hired a tutor to get me through some advanced coursework, and it was worth every cent. Getting straight A's is a good goal but earning the MBA is paramount.

I recently graduated. And yes...it does get more difficult with papers and long tests that's a part of your grade. I got my business analytics concentration as I initially started in the MS data science program but had serious issues with one of the teachers there.

@eyrobinson

How does it get more difficult/how do the tests become longer? Longer form open-ended responses?

I'm between the Eastern MBA or Eastern DS or HAU MBA. The self-paced "get the class done as fast as you can do all the work" model from Eastern has my interest. I'm not sure if I can do regular 16 week courses anymore with no option to accelerate.

Do you feel like any of the courses can actually be done in less than 7 weeks? If I do decide on Eastern, I would do 1 class per 7 week term (20 months?)

They have these long exams with 150 questions each I believe it was that tests to see if you know your business subjects...accounting, marketing, hr, etc. One is graded. Then there are papers you have to write. I think one was about 15 pages.

You can speed through...the last few have deadlines which f*cked me up because until then...NOTHING had deadlines. I got docked points because I was going through some sh*t and the teacher nor the school didn't care. Glad to be done because it was hell at this school with the teachers and administrators. I only recommend it if you never have a crisis in your life. No other school I've attended wouldn't work with me.
