Hi everyone,
My cc gave me credit for second semester freshman English for my Associate's but now that I am enrolling at TESC will need a second semester of freshman English credit for my Bachelor's with them. Does anyone here know if Penn Foster's ACE class will be accepted by TESC? Also, anyone know the course number and title that would transfer from Penn Foster to TESC. Thanks for the aid. I'm about to enroll for myself and my son in June with TESC, but am saving up funds to do it simultaneously. Both of us are studying like crazy in the meantime and trying to complete all of our required tests so that we can graduate this summer.

Why don't you just take the CLEP English Composition w/essay? That will meet both 101 & 102 at TESC. Plus...you can save some money.
I believe Penn Foster charges $90 per credit hour so you're looking at $270 for the English 102 course. The CLEP is just $72 + whatever your testing center charges (shouldn't be more than $20 bucks). You only need to score a 50... And since you've already taken English I at your cc, you should be able to pass the CLEP with no problem.
***Of course if you take the CLEP...your cc class won't count anymore.***
Good luck to you.

If you can finish the class in 28 days or less then Straighterlines's CompII
class might be a cheaper option for you then PF.

It is ACE reviewed, but definitely verify first with TESC that they will accept it and that it will be applied under a course number you need to fulfill their requirement.

hey, i took Penn Foster's English I and did Straighterline's English II because PF's English II isn't ACE approved. TESC accepted them both, so my English requirement is satisfied, thank god haha. Straighterline is the way to go....easy easy easy....

So,
Does TESC accept direct transcript from Straighterline for English II? I'm not sure how to get this accepted by TESC without using another school, but none of the partner colleges for Straighterline send transcript for English II (or do they)?

Since it is ACE reviewed, I am guessing you would have an ACE transcript sent to TESC.
