Well, I think my interpretation of the events may just be wishful thinking on my part. I have looked around some and have not found any verification in their policies about putting the enrollment fee toward the graduation fee. I may be able to try it though and see what happens next year. I would love to finish my associate degree for $1000 in fees, but $1500 isn't bad either.

I asked Excelsior and received a very clear answer about this.

Finishing all of the requirements for a degree BEFORE enrolling DOES NOT make anybody eligible for any type of reduction in enrollment or graduation fees.

I am sorry for causing confusion about this previously with my very wishful thinking. I should have known since I could not find it in their policies.

So, if you are within a year of graduation, there is NO financial reason to delay enrollment. By enrolling, you will have access to academic advisement and be able to make sure that you have all requirements met to graduate on schedule.
