Excelsior and Fema Credits Clarification
#1
Hello,

This is my first official post here (although i have been consumed by reading post on here for the last two weeks).

I am 40 years old and looking to obtain a bachelor's degree in the quickest way possible, so this forum has been awesome.

Here is my general plan, I am going for the BSLS at excelsior I have 9 credits from a local community college, and I have been looking at FEMA credits for the majority of the Applied professional credits. I read on an old post that 50 of these credits can be used in this area, is this information still valid? I understand I will have to convert these credits via FCC, which is not a problem, just wanting to make sure it is still a possibility before i proceed.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Jon

Not sure about the FEMA credits, but ALEKS is a great, and cheap, way to knock out lower level math (below calc) and statics credits.

Welcome to the forum!

I just checked the new Liberal Arts catalog. It appears that 50 lower-level Applied Professional (free electives) credits are still allowed for the BSLS. (ALEKS math can be used for the Arts & Sciences requirements.)

I have not used FEMA credits, but here is the most recent post about using them:

Also, Rickyjo should be going through this process now or soon for an AS, so you can follow his progress:
