I scheduled a phone call with Excelsior to ask some questions about one their programs.
I was told by a admissions councilor that they would not accept any test out/transfer credits, even for general education, in the program.
I was told I had to take -all- courses online through them.
She was lying in an attempt to upsell or Excelsior simply isn't what it's advertised to be. Either way the entire phone call left me even more suspicious of the operation than I was before hand.

That's an unfortunate experience. As a sales attempt it seems weird, more likely an uninformed employee if you ask me.

They haven’t announced any changes to their policy, so this sounds like a new person or someone that just isn’t good at their job.

I don't know, they said that policy applied to that program in particular, then tried to sell me on something else.
I hung up on them.
It's unfortunate as they're one of the only ones to offer a program like I want.

BS in Engineering Technology.
Fits really closely with the increase in automation systems in my current career path.

Above wasn't helpful.
I even emailed Excelsior and they only made further fools of themselves and still didn't answer any of my questions.
The solution involved contacting TESU who does have the same program under a slightly different name. I had all my questions answered satisfactorily in a short phone call.

I'm still in the process of elimination.
I still have some concerns about TESU after reading the reviews about the school.
