From TESU they are certificates not certifications. Certifications aren't always for college credit and aren't through colleges like CompTIA certifications. CompTIA and the like are professional certifications. The certificate at TESU is academic so it's similar to a degree but not a degree.

Getting a certificate with your degree at TESU is like having a minor in that subject. UMPI has minors, TESU has certificates.

Again, your focus for now is to get that Bachelor degree as a check the box requirement, all others at this time would be secondary. I would finish what I mentioned first and work on your CIS cert after.
