The certificates are free. You get the certificates after you complete the courses.

I would review the thread again... Basically, I highly recommend completing the Coursera/TADA freebies that have ACE credit. If you want to take the ones without ACE credit, that would work as well. Having said that, you may want to invest in a second monitor for multi-tasking and also take the other ACE recommended for college credit options that are NOT part of TADA and is NOT free.
The reason is because for such a small cost, it is an entry level cert to get your foot in the door, such as their iBM Full Stack Developer Cert, you can finish it in a month for $49! If you're experienced in that field, some may finish it within the trial 7 days, but I wouldn't rush it. Some colleges/universities will grant college credit as they have the ACE recommendation, you can use it towards a degree.

Yes, definitely. Two of the Career Certificates in the American Dream program are:
Meta Frontend Engineer
Meta Backend Engineer
Those are the two that are coding/technical.
