Does the free courses through phoenix.sophia transfer to TESU?
I'm talking about the following courses:
Foundations of English composition
Foundations of college algebra
Foundations of statistics
Thanks

I personally transferred all 3 of those in to TESU, however they do not reflect as being worth credit on my academic evaluation or transcript (not that I needed them to).
They are still great as review or to prep you for other courses that will transfer in(if you need it).
Someone on this board did mention that their academic advisor at tesu okayed those courses for the BALS math requirement. That may have been a misunderstanding or anomaly but it doesn't hurt to ask them to pre-approve the courses for you. Worst case is a, "no."

The college algebra course is "vocational" and is not for academic credit.
The other two are recommended by ACE for credit, however TESU classes them as vocational.

Everything that is ACE recommended will transfer - it's a question of WHAT they transfer in as. These are all considered developmental at TESU, meaning non-college-level coursework. So you won't get any credit for them, unfortunately.
I think there was a time, early on, when a few people did get credit for a couple of these, but that went away fairly quickly.

Just check the Excelsior/Sophia page at
https://excelsior.sophia.org/#courses
However, make sure to take the courses through the University of Phoenix/Sophia page because that is the only one that offers them free.
