I was told that it will be $1,000 for out of state students, so I dropped the courses in was signed up for. I didn’t bother to ask if that was per course or for the pair.

I'm not blaming OP (because "Free" usually means Free), but OP has 2 more threads about other 2025 spring TAMUC promotions. The other websites contain similar language to this one or at least the same lack of an asterisk on "Free":

This one was supposed to be Pick a bundle of 6 credit hours for free (stackable with second to make 12 credit hours free?) Now, we might maybe know that it maybe might not be free with a possibility of maybe receiving a scholarship when classes start. Is this the same with the other two promotions and do they also require a warning?

I messaged my admissions advisor them about fees for out of state. Will see if they clarify things.

I signed up yesterday and this morning I received a bill for 5337. 1,000 and change for tuition and 4300 for non-resident fees.

I don't know if you want to update it again,but apparently out of state students are also being charged over 3,000 in fees. Total price is 4,300 and change unless you live in Texas.

At the same school, we had a recent report of similar fees temporarily listed on student accounts for winter courses that were announced as tuition-free. Those fees were quickly removed in an adjustment. It seems likely much the same is happening here.

I will hold tight then, and not drop the classes immediately.

Even paying 1,000... that is a steal for six hours of grad credit. But I could not justify 4,300.
