GED College Ready + Credit
#1
Hi.
Does anyone know if TESU accepts GED College Ready + Credit? Since 2014, ACE has introduced a policy that anyone scoring 175/200 in any of the 5 GED Subjects (Language Arts, Writing, Social Sciences, Science and Math) is eligible for 1-3 credit points (1 for Language and writing, 3 each of the Sciences and Math). All my GED scores are above 175 and that makes me eligible for 10 lower level credits.  Smile

That's an awesome program and I'm glad TESU is giving you 10 credits! Wish I could partake in that, but I took my GED in 2004. It's a great opportunity for the newer GED graduates, and I think it's a great motivation to get people to get off their couches and get that credential.

Congrats!

yes, you should get all your credits at TESU no problem due to their ACE evaluation, and congratulations!!!

Thank you. The only thing that makes me a little disappointed is that I struck a perfect score of 200/200 in the Language Arts section and that is still only worth 1 credit!

That’s cool. There are test centers in India? By the way, I did get your PM’s, but I replied when your PM was disabled. I assume most if not all the questions were answered by now in your posts, and the majority of the answers are actually within the guide, spreadsheet, and wiki. Your budget is too limited, but that shouldn’t stop you.

Just to get more info from you, how young are you, got kids or a family? Which degree are you looking at? You need to set yourself some time to work on mainly Straighterline and Study.com for the bulk of your courses - that’s because you mentioned there are no test centers nearby. Other providers such as WGU, Onlinedegree.com currently don’t offer courses to non US residents.

I suggest three test-out-able RA schools for you if you have no particular degree in mind, COSC for BA/BS, TESU for BSBA/BALS, Excelsior for IT. There are two comptency schools, Brandman and JFKU. Actually, come to think it, I just recall someone from the Philippines looking at the same type of thing on the sister board. You may want to go for UofP or Ashworth to do a BS Business and BS Health Sciences.

By using Saylor for the bulk of your credits, you can get an NA degree for cheap. Read post 17 and 26 on this thread. https://www.degreeinfo.com/index.php?thr...2000.52514

that does stink- but go take the CLEP, you'll do great and depending on where your 1 credit falls, you'll either get 6 NEW Language Arts credits or +5. Either way, great job!
