General Education Elective Question
#1
It has been quite a while since I went to school. In 2005, I attended college and took whatever I wanted without any guidance. I took a ridiculous amount of Child Dev classes at my local college.

Now, here I am, returning to school and decided on the BSBA program at TESU. I am currently working through some of my Sophia General Ed requirements. My question is... what can I do with all of those ChildDev credits I received? Could they possibly count towards my electives? I am a little confused to how it all works. I plan on applying to TESU in May and will see where I stand then, but just hoping someone can give me some insight.

Thanks for the help!!

They should count towards your electives and it’s possible a couple may count towards one general education area or the other. They will also count towards the required minimum of 30 RA credits needed for TESU. If you haven’t applied to TESU, would recommend applying as soon as possible to get your evaluation. You’ll want to register for a TECEP exam to be considered an enrolled student.

Here are the degree plans and other pages for TESU on the Wiki

You don’t need to finish Sophia classes before applying and you’ll want to do Sophia before switching to other providers like Study dot com.

@AshDash, Welcome to the board, great intro post but it's missing most of the details within the addendum and template. It's best to provide a clearer picture of what you're looking for and what you currently have to bring to the table. Link: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works

Depending on what college you've gone to, these credits may be academic in nature versus vocational. I would guess 80% it was from a community college vs 20% a private vocational college. If they're from the community college, these should go into the electives, if from a vocational college, you'll have to see if they're worth credit at all.

My suggestion, apply to UMPI as well, see if they take all your credits, you can complete a BABA with a concentration of your choice, it may end up cheaper, easier, faster than TESU, depending on your commitments.
